Our precious angel mother, Sheryl Lynn Jurinjak Alldredge at age 75, passed away Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022. Peacefully returning to Heaven, Sheryl was surrounded by her loving husband Joseph Leo Alldredge of 54 years, children and grandchildren.
Sheryl was born in Glendale, California - March 21, 1947 to parents William Robert Jurinjak and Sara Isabel Hayne Jurinjak. She has three siblings Keri (Karen) Bosworth, Bill (William) Jurinjak and Julie Young.
In 1963, at the Arroyo Grande Harvest Festival, a young, beautiful 16 year old Sheryl Jurinjak was crowned "Miss Arroyo Grande Festival Belle", a royal beauty queen. Graduating from Ernest Righetti High School in Santa Maria California June 10, 1965, she then attended Brigham Young University.
Sheryl & Joe met on a blind date and married in the Salt Lake Temple April 7, 1969 by Spencer W. Kimball. In 1971, they lived in Heildelberg, Germany while Joe was in the Army. Upon returning from across the pond in 1973, they lived in different states, California, Utah, Colorado & Missouri. In 1980, they chose Rexburg Idaho as the city to raise their family of 8 living children. Dawnua (Mark) Vallett, Chad Alldredge, Nathan (Cherissa) Alldredge, Janelle Alldredge, Adam (Jerika) Alldredge, Mark (Erica) Alldredge, David (Rebecca) Alldredge, Russell (Heather) Alldredge, including 16 joyful grandchildren. Beginning 2012, Sheryl and Joe served in the Washington DC North mission.
Sheryl always enjoyed hugs, spending quality time with family & friends, serving yummy food, sewing projects and shopping sales. She was a generous humanitarian and a loving woman. She created hundreds of "Care Package Shoeboxes" for the military overseas. Sheryl always happily volunteered to do service in her ward & community. She also sewed many quality quilts for loved ones. Every year, Sheryl had a special way of remembering to send hundreds of mailed birthday cards to family and friend's. Yellow roses and lighthouses are two of her favorite things.
In honor of Sheryl's life memories (no viewing), a "Celebration of Life Open House" in her honor will be Friday, April 22, 2022 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the Rexburg North Stake Center, 314 E 2nd N, Rexburg.
