Sherry passed away on April 2, 2020 in Denver City, Texas.
Sherry was born March 5, 1954 in Tempe, Arizona to Norman and Loretta Bangle. Sherry married James Byron Rosenbaum on July 23, 1988 in Allen, Texas. Sherry and her husband, James B. Rosenbaum resided in Allen, Texas for twenty-five years. After his passing in 2013, she moved to Plains, Texas to be closer to her mother and sisters. Sherry was an avid cook, artist, and seamstress. She worked in various occupations throughout her life including child education, 911 operator, and bookkeeping, however, the position she loved the most was working for many years as a Nanny. Her gentle spirit and kindness naturally drew children to her; she cherished all of them as if they were her very own. Her love of animals led her to rescue several pets from animal shelter.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Byron Rosenbaum in 2013; and her father Norman Lohr Bangle, Sr. in 2004.
Sherry is survived by her mother Loretta O'Neill of Plains; a son Joseph DeFries and his wife Catherine of Savoy, Texas; a daughter Holly (DeFries) Graves of Dallas, two step sons Chris Rosenbaum of Dallas and J. Allen Rosenbaum and his wife Lindsay of Belton, Texas; ten grandchildren; two sisters Debbie Smith and Pamela Valdes both of Plains; a brother Norman L. Bangle, Jr. and his wife Sandra of Livingston, Texas.
The family requests donations to your local Animal Shelter or the charity of your choice.
