Sherry Popovich age 79 of the Tellico Community, Loudon, TN went to meet the Lord July 23, 2024 following battle with Alzheimer's.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents Owen and Ruth lehle and Sister Diane lehle.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Steve Popovich; daughter Gidget Wagner (Mike) and granddaughter Lauren of Ca.; Son Heath Bernston and grandsons Michael & Kevin; Brother Dennis lehle (Margery) and numerous grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
Sherry was born in Sandusky, OH on January 2, 1945. She graduated from Sandusky High School and was an architect designing homes in CA.
Sherry and Steve retired to Tellico Village in 2000. She was a member of the Tellico Players where she designed costumes. She was also known as "cake lady" making numerous cakes for various occasions. Sherry was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Lenoir City, TN.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 10 - 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Lenoir City with Mass to follow at 11 a.m.
Burial will be in the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery on John Sevier Highway on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 12:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Alzheimer's Association.
