Shelby Glen Medlock was born in Lubbock, Texas November 28,1943 to Leonard "Jack" and Velma Hornsby Medlock. He passed away in his home on April 12, 2022, with loved ones near him at 78 years old. He cherished his entire family, who knew him to be a true man of honor, courage, and devotion. More than just a Daddy to his daughters, he was a father figure to his entire family, which he cherished daily. On December 8, 1959, at the age of 16, he married the love of his life, Nancy Blackwell. Together, over 62 years of marriage, they built a wonderful life and created a legacy for each generation that followed. His kindness, morality, and hardworking values touched the lives of many. He will be dearly missed. Rest assured he is happy in heaven as he made it clear he was ready to see Nancy again and that his work here was done.
He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, and sister Shirley Gibson. He is survived by his siblings, Benny Medlock and Waunell Moize, daughter, Tammy Ballentine, daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Bill Tipton, grandsons, Jeffery Ballentine, Michael Ballentine and Matthew and Katrina Ballentine. Granddaughters, Lauren and Josh Milner, and Sara and Jason Steffan. His ten great grandchildren, Mason, Rowyn, Noble, Presley, Shelbi, Hayden, Griffin, Indie, Connor, and Lincoln.
Special thanks and love to Jordyn Dalby and Summer Saunders for their consistent love and care.
