Our dear mother, Sheila M. (Fahrni) Stockburger sadly passed away on July 6th, 2023, at the age of 70 at the Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon, Ohio. Sheila was born April 3rd, 1953 in Massillon, OH, the daughter of Ernest and Mildred (Steiner) Fahrni. She grew up in Dalton, OH and graduated from Dalton High School in 1971. She met our father, Ronald C. Stockburger, at a Singles Retreat in Michigan. They were married at the Calvary Assesmbly of God Church on June 21st, 1986. Throughout her working years she was a waitress at the L&K Restaurant, an employee at the J M Smucker Jelly Company, was a Substitute Teacher for Fulton & Williams counties, an aid & a school bus driver at Head Start, and lastly a dietary aid at the Filling Homes Community Center until she retired at the age of 65. In the middle of her working years, Sheila was a stay-at-home mother for her two children, Joshua Stockburger and Catherine Stockburger until their middle school years. I'm sure there were plenty of times we exasperated our mother, but she cared for & loved us dearly. Our dear mother will always be remembered for her kindness, conscientiousness, humor, forgiving nature and for her love. She always had a heart for people. And she was able to make others smile and feel valued. Sheila had a deep reverence for God and a deep affection for her family & friends. She always enjoyed traveling, reading, watching movies, her beloved Cleveland Browns, drinking her Pepsi, cats, strawberries, deer and angels. She is now a beloved Angel of God. Sheila is survived by her husband, Ronald, her two children, Joshua (Kayla) Stockburger and Catherine Stockburger. All of Archbold. Her mother, Mildred Fahrni of Brewster, OH, her brother John (Karen) Fahrni of Massillon, OH, her brother-in-law Daryl (Michelle) Stockburger of Tecumseh, MI, her sister-in-law Carol (Myron) Shenk of Albany, OR, her eight nieces and nephews and many family and friends who loved and adored her. Before she passed, she had been made aware by her son Joshua and her daughter-in-law Kayla, that they were expecting and she was going to be a Grandma. She also had been a Fur Grandma of our cat Lilac. She was preceeded in death by her father, Ernest Fahrni and her brother-in-law Roger Stockburger.
