Mrs. Sheila Anne (Broderick) Behrman, 76, of Columbus left this earth and joined her beloved husband, Tom, on August 26, 2021. Sheila was born July 27, 1945, to John and Rita Broderick.
Sheila graduated from Columbus High School in 1963. In August 1963 she married Thomas Arthur Behrman, her high school sweetheart. They were together until his passing in 2004. Sheila raised her young family in Columbus and participated in local philanthropic groups such as the Jay-She's. A new adventure in Lakewood, NY was embraced for several years until the call came to return to Columbus where Sheila spent the rest of her life. She worked for Kinney Glass and Robert Garton Associates for several years. Sheila was then employed by Irwin Management Company until her retirement in 2013. She was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella. Sheila's greatest joy was her family and friends. All holidays were a celebration of life and her home was always a favorite gathering place. Sheila cherished her lifelong friendships and the love and support of her dear sisters. She never let a birthday, wedding, or new baby go uncelebrated. And she kept every Christmas card, thank you, and announcement to remember the day. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren could always count on the shelter her love provided.
Sheila is survived by her children Anthony Behrman (Michelle Behrman), Leslie Behrman, and David Behrman (Rebecca Behrman); Grandchildren Brittny Dold (Chris Dold), Taylor Waite, Alex Hitchman, Chris Hitchman, and Nick Hitchman; Great Grandchildren Mia Dold and Broderick Dold; Sisters Jill Barland, Meg Broderick, D-D Stillinger, Joan Conatser, and Liza Matucan. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister, Rita Hallum.
