Tupelo, Mississippi formerly of Westmoreland City- Shawn Kreuzberger, 50, died unexpectedly on Thursday, April 8, 2021. He was born May 23, 1970 to J. Leon Kreuzberger and Norma Golembiewski Kreuzberger in Westmoreland City, Pennsylvania where he spent his childhood. Shawn received his nuclear engineering degree from Penn State and he joined the United States Air Force. During his military career, he traveled all around the world proudly serving his country for several years and obtaining the rank of captain. After two tours in Afghanistan and receiving several commendations, including the Bronze Star, he retired from the Air Force and began working as an industrial engineer. Around six years ago, he settled in Tupelo while working for Oil-Dri. Shawn loved mustangs, model trains and woodworking. He was an exceptionally talented craftsman and an extraordinary father to his son, Tristan, and son to his mother, Norma.
Survivors include his son, Tristan Kreuzberger, and his mother, Norma Kreuzberger.
A memorial service with Military Honors will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Father Tim Murphy officiating. Visitation will be held from 12 PM - service time Sunday at the funeral home. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to be serving their friends.
