Michael Shawn Hathaway, 59, of Teton City, died December 14, 2023, at Madison Memorial Hospital from natural causes. He was born June 26, 1964, in Rexburg to Gaye and Donlee Hathaway.
He attended Teton Elementary and graduated from South Fremont High School.
Growing up he loved sports, and he caught the fishing bug at a real young age. He was an excellent fisherman, and as he grew older there were a lot of homes in Teton full of fresh fish that he had caught, filleted and ready to cook.
Shawn had a big heart. Our family often told him that he needed to work in a rest home. He had a soft spot in his heart for people with disabilities.
Later in life Shawn started playing the aggravating game of golf. He played often with his friends. Shawn enjoyed family get togethers and giving his nieces and nephews a hard time. He was known to them as Uncle Noner.
He was married to Leslie Davis and two sons, Fisher and Hudson, were born to this union. They were later divorced.
Shawn is survived by his boys, Chad, Fisher, and Hudson; his parents, Gaye and Donlee; and two younger sisters, Angie Goulding and Hailee Stanley; and several nieces and nephews.
Family services will be held at a later date.
