Sharon More, 74, passed away on September 3, 2021.
Born in Lakewood, Ohio, Sharon had lived in Mantua, Kent, Randolph, and Tallmadge, and graduated from Kent Roosevelt High School in 1964. As a lifelong resident of the Portage County area, Sharon owned Randolph Way Farm, raised goats, and was active in 4-H and the Randolph community. In addition to proudly raising her five children independently, she pursued her nursing goal and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Walsh University (1993). She also became a Legal Nurse Consultant through The Ohio State University. Sharon was a Registered Nurse specializing in geriatric and legal nursing at several nursing homes in the area and later served as the Director of Nursing at Bath Nursing Home prior to her retirement.
Sharon married Henry "Hank" Jacoby in 1999 and they were members of Our Lady of Victory Church where she was active in the Prayer Shawl and Bereavement ministries.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lenila (O'Donnell) and Hubert Hovance, brother, Michael Hovance and son, Michael Patrick More.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Henry "Hank" Jacoby; daughter, Bridget (Chris) Frederick of Elyria; step- daughter, Angela (Tim) Cavanaugh of Copley; sons, Tim (Gail) More, Shannon (Jenifer) More both of Randolph, Shane More of Madison; step son, Don (Robin) Rinehart of Virginia; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Lydene (Danny) Kende of Ravenna, Carolyn (Robert) Rees of Norton, Elise (Ken) Enloe of Florida, and niece Stephanie (Phil) Kuhn of Florida.
Visitation will be 4 until 7 p.m. Friday, September 10, at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On Tallmadge Circle).
Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 p.m. Saturday, September 11, at Our Lady of Victory Church, 73 North Ave., Tallmadge with Father Mike Matusz officiating. Procession to from at the church. The Funeral Mass will be livestreamed on Our Lady of Victory's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ourladyofvictorychurchtallmadge/. Those who are unvaccinated or at risk are asked to please consider continuing to wear a face covering while in Church.
Interment will take place at Northlawn Memorial Gardens in Peninsula.
