Sharon Alice Lilley, age 79, went home to be with her Lord on February 9, 2020, after a courageous sixteen-year battle with cancer. She spent the final week of her life surrounded by her family. Sharon was born in Sayre, Pennsylvania and graduated from Wyalusing Valley High as Valedictorian of her class. She was married to her husband, Ron, for 59 years. Sharon lived a life of courage and compassion and in doing so, left a legacy for all who knew and loved her. The doors to her home and her heart were always open and her candy jar was always full. She will be remembered for her unconditional love, her gentle spirit, her forgiving nature, her inner strength, her unwavering faith, her dedication to her family, her love of travel and her sweet tooth. Sharon received her degree in Medical Records Technology at Broome Community College and retired from the Binghamton Psychiatric Center in 1993. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul B. Watson, and mother, Marian L. Watson. She is survived by her husband, Ronald G. Lilley of Summerfield, Florida; son, Kevin P. Lilley and his wife, Tina, of Durham, North Carolina; daughters, Lisa M. Paul and her husband, Mike, of Johns Creek, Georgia; Corinne S. Gutosky and her husband, Joe, of Kernersville, North Carolina; and a sister, Patricia Aiello of Palm Coast, Florida. She also leaves behind 3 grandsons, Zachary Paul and his wife, Chrissy, Tyler Gutosky, and Brendan Lilley; two granddaughters, Nicole Paul and Hannah Gutosky; and a great granddaughter expected in April. Arrangement are being handled by Roberts of Ocala Funerals & Cremations, Ocala, Florida, Contributions in honor of her memory may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Summerfield, Florida. A Memorial Service in her honor will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church on February 22, 2020 at 11:00am.
