Sharon Gayla Ratliff Giezentanner, age 78, of Tulsa, OK, passed away January 9, 2021. She was born December 4, 1942, in Dallas, TX, to Rev. Hubert R. Ratliff and wife Edna Fae. As one of four children (three sisters and one brother), she grew up in the Dallas area singing gospel music in a trio with her two sisters. Sherrie (Sharon) was a culinary master (good cook), excellent seamstress, surprisingly successful fisherwoman and had superior mechanical skills. But she is best known for her loving good nature and perpetual positive disposition. She will be missed beyond measure. She was a bright shining light in the lives of so many others. Sherrie is survived by her husband: Jan Alan Giezentanner of Bixby, OK; son: Roger Dale Prince and wife Dinah; daughter: Kerrie Jane Horne and husband Greg; stepsons: Dennis Martin Morrow and wife Krista, and Jarrod "Bubba" Morrow and wife January; stepdaughters: LaDonna Griffiths and husband Brett, Angela Walsh and husband John, and Michelle Bruner and husband Kevin; sisters: Norma Chanley and husband Chuck, and Carole Hoffmann; brother: Roger Ratliff and wife Margaret; grandchildren: Christopher Prince, Kasey Waggoner, Mia Pearson, Marissa Pearson, Cutter Horne and wife Lisa, Carson Horne, Kadin Morrow, Keely Morrow, Kannon Morrow, Koby Morrow, Kelton Morrow, Michael Griffiths, Matthew Griffiths, Ava Griffiths, Lauren Walsh, John Walsh, Alyssa Walsh, Shelbie Bruner, Tabby Bruner and Matthew Bruner; great-granddaughters: Prezlee Ballard and Charlee Prince; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, January 15, 2021, at The Gathering at Rest Haven Funeral Home, Rockwall, TX, from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Out of an abundance of caution, masks will be required during visitation. Regretfully, due to COVID restrictions there will be a private graveside service Saturday, January 16, 2021, in Thompson Cemetery, Lavon, TX, with Pastor Jotty Kinney officiating. Pallbearers will be Marty Morrow, Dennis James Morrow, Bart Barton, Brett Barton, Brett Griffiths, John Walsh and Kevin Bruner. Once COVID restrictions are lifted, a celebration of Gigi's life will be held with family and friends.
