Sharon Ann (Fultz) Helmerick, 82, of West Lafayette passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021.
She was born January 11, 1939 in Bedford, IN, to the late Parker and Ruth (Bair) Fultz. She was a graduate of Shawswick High School. Sharon worked as a Secretary for Klondike Elementary for 28 years before retiring in 1999.
On February 27, 1999 she married Cecil Helmerick in Lafayette. He preceded her in death on June 1, 2013.
Sharon was a member of 1st United Methodist Church and past member of Tri Kappa, IAEOP (Indiana Association of Educational Office Processing). She enjoyed playing golf, reading, traveling, playing cards, collecting art, ceramics and pottery. She also loved attending art fairs and the symphony.
Surviving are her children: Christine Denz (husband, David) of Wheaton, IL, Cynthia King (husband, Jeff) of Franklin, TN and Scott Hodges (husband, Phillip Nun?z) of Ukiah, CA; step children: Jeff Helmerick (wife, Jackie) of West Lafayette, Sandra Richeson (husband, Dirk) and Susan DeLong (husband, Kenneth) both of Lafayette; and partner; Harry Hirschl. She is also survived by several grand and great- grandchildren.
Along with her husband, Cecil, she is preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held 10am - 11am Monday, April 12, 2021 at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 11am. Interment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
