Sharon L. (Larson) Carlson, age 56 of Winnebago, IL formerly of Shullsburg, WI passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021 at her home in Winnebago. She was born on April 1, 1965 in Darlington, WI the daughter of Martin "Dutch" and Lois (Longhorn) Larson-Ubersox. Sharon grew up in Shullsburg where she graduated from Shullsburg High School in 1983. After graduation, Sharon moved to Fennimore where she received her CNA, she then moved back to Shullsburg where she lived until 2001. On February 28, 2006, Sharon married Bruce D. Carlson at Winnebago County Court House. She and Bruce have lived in Winnebago ever since.
Sharon is survived by her husband Bruce at home; her mother: Lois Ubersox of Gratiot, WI; her children: Brandon (Heather) Larson of Darlington, Kelli Carlson of Rockford, IL, Christopher Carlson of South Dakota, and Melissa (Kelly) Schwochert of Winnebago; her grandchildren: Bryce Gober, Isabell Carlson, Connor, Michael, and Charlee Larson; her siblings: Jim (Lori) Larson, Barb (Frank Ubenholzer) Bonney, Gordy Larson, Ann (Mike) Cunningham, Christine (Dan) Bomgarden, and Nikki (the late Charlie) Larson; her step-siblings: Rick Ubersox, Jim Ubersox, and Gail (Kenny) Wilson; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father: Martin "Dutch" Larson; two sisters: Carol Larson and Audrey Larson; a brother: Charlie Larson; a step-brother: Hal Ubersox; a brother-in-law: Richard Carlson; and her step-father: Fritz Ubersox.
Sharon loved spending time outdoors - whether it was mowing the yard, gardening, or spending time in the combine with her husband Bruce. She was proud to run the Carlson Sweet Corn Concession Business throughout the years. Her family meant the world to her and she cherished the time she spent with them creating memories they will all remember forever. Sharon was most proud of her grandchildren - always cheering them on at their sporting events and making sure they knew how proud she was of them at all times. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church in Darlington with Rev. Nick McElrath officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery in Darlington. A visitation will be held Monday, October 25, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. at First Baptist Church and on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at the church.
