Sharon L. Barbuti, 76, a resident of North Scranton, died Monday morning at home after an illness. She was the widow of Robert Barbuti Jr., who died in 1994.
Born in Peckville, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Irene Whitney White. She was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School, class of 1966. Prior to returning to Scranton, she was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Greensboro, N.C. She was employed locally.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Allied Hospice for the care given to Sharon.
Surviving are her children, Dawn Yourkowski and husband, Henry, with whom she resided; and Keith Barbuti and wife, Cassandra, Avoca; nieces and nephews including Shirley Yacone and Amy Goodfield; and special family friends, Joseph and Holly Williams, and Joseph Yourkowski; and her furry family.
Sharon was also preceded in death by three brothers, Gerald, Harry and Carl White; and five sisters, Thelma, Doris, Alice, Sandy and Shirley.
