Shannon Gerald Parton

Shannon Gerald Parton, 55, a resident of Sevierville, TN passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on January 13, 1969, in Richmond, Virginia a son of the late Winfred & Dorris Parton. He was very involved with the Volunteer Corp of the Jaycees. Shannon served as State Vice President and Supreme Commander of the group during his time with the Jaycees. He coached and mentored hundreds of kids from Sevier County in football and baseball in his younger years. Shannon spent many of his summers working for the Camp Discovery Jaycees Foundation which served both youth and adults with disabilities.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his loving wife Sherry Parton with whom he was blessed to spend 36 years before her passing a few weeks ago and one brother Dennis Parton.

Shannon leaves behind to cherish his memory three children Shalee Franklin, Shane Parton and Samantha Rae, two grandchildren Kylee Franklin and Zackery Vann, three sisters Janie Click, Roxanna Mount and Donna Parrot, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
