Seymore R. Parrish, 80, of Morgantown, passed from this life at 2:49 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 2020 at the Columbus Regional Hospital.
Mr. Parrish was born, October 27, 1940, in Chevrolet, Kentucky, the son of Fred and Emma Walden Parrish.
Seymore married Laurelyn Bowser, October 27, 1970.
He retired from General Electric in 1997 after 28 years of service.
He was a sports enthusiast, Mr. Parrish was actively involved in the Brown County Parks & Recreation Center where he served as parks supervisor, coached girls and boys sports, umpired and refereed.
He attended The Salvation Army.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years; children, Douglas Parrish of Florida, Teresa (Tracy) Parrish of Nashville, Brian (Christony) Parrish of Nashville and Lesa (John) Moore of Florida; 23 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers; and 7 sisters.
In keeping with the families wishes, cremation will take place.
Due to the pandemic, a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
