Seth Perry Novoselsky BS. MS. MD. passed away on July 18, 2021.
Dr. Novoselsky was born on October 3, 1936 in New Orleans, LA. He was the son of Paul and Nesia Novoselsky and the brother of Linda Novoselsky. He was a graduate of Tulane University, 1958 and the Louisiana State University School of Medicine at New Orleans, 1963.
Seth interned at Touro Infirmary and did his Urology Residency at the Tulane School of Medicine, Touro Infirmary, and the VA Hospitals in New Orleans and Pineville, LA. He was certified by the American Board of Urology, was a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and chaired the Cabrini Hospital Surgery Department and Medical Staff. After practicing urology in Alexandria, LA for 33 years, Seth retired to Hendersonville, NC and continued to be active in treating veterans at the VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC. He was a member of the Rapides Parish Medical Society, American Urological Association and the Southeastern section of the AUA. In Hendersonville, he was on the Honorary Staff of Pardee Hospital and he also served as a volunteer there. He was a dedicated and caring physician who was loved by his patients.
Seth was a Master and Scottish Rite Mason and Jerusalem Temple Shriner for more than 50 years, and he was an avid member of Kiwanis for more than 40 years. He loved to hunt, fish, shoot trap and skeet, and always cheered for his beloved LSU Tigers.
Seth is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Jane; his son Alan and affectionate granddaughter Leah of Sandy Springs, GA; son Jason and his wife Jenny, and loving grandchildren Reagan and Preston of Marietta, GA; and son Stuart and his wife Amy, and adoring grandsons Ryan and Drew of Johns Creek, GA.
His family is grateful for the exceptional care he received from Dr. Eric Byrd and the Carolina Village Medical Center Administration and Staff.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the charity of your choice or Kiwanis Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 2138, Hendersonville, NC 28739. A graveside service will be held at Arlington Memorial Park in Atlanta, GA on July 21, 2021 at eleven o'clock officiated by Rabbi Shalom Lewis of Etz Chaim Synagogue.
