Selena Marie Palmer Chapple (Tena) passed from this life on the morning of May 3, 2023, in her home surrounded by family. She was born May 18, 1940 in Galveston, Texas.
Selena, a graduate of Dunbar High School, was a dedicated employee of GTE, (Verizon); and after her retirement, was employed by American General Insurance Company. She was a charter member of Victorious Living Christian Center.
She leaves behind to treasure her memories: her children; Anthony (Dennis), Valerie (Alton), Vicky and Charles; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Clarence, Freddie (Rose), Shirley Shaw (Robert), Ella and Wanda; nieces, nephews, cousins, her VLCC family and many, many friends.
A Celebration of Selena's life will be held Friday, May 12, 2023 at Victorious Living Christian Center, 639 Smith Lane in League City. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM followed by services at 1:00 PM. Pastor Elizabeth Douglas, eulogist. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery. www.norrisdburkley.com
