Myrlyn L McElfresh, 81, of Logan, Utah, died suddenly on January 5, 2024. She was born in Bishop, California in 1942 to Myrl and Beatrix Coffey, and grew up on a farm in Maple Grove, Colorado where she lived an idyllic childhood. Lyn had many friends at the Logan Senior Center and will miss all the activities she participated in and friends she made there. Lyn was preceded in death by her son, Stephen McElfresh, husband, James McElfresh, brothers, Ronald Coffey, Clyde Coffey, and Jerry Coffey, parents Beatrix Coffey (Dalryple) and Myrl W Coffey. Dawn Jayne Baker Brimley, of Provo, Utah, passed away on August 26, 2023. Dawn was born on May 18, 1932, the youngest child of Leonard and Florence Payne Baker. She was born and raised in Monroe, Utah, a town she dearly loved. She and her older sister, Marie, grew up in a very loving home. Dawn attended Brigham Young University from 1951-1955, graduating in sociology with a minor in psychology. She excelled in school. There, she met and fell in love with Vern Brimley, Jr. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on March 17, 1955. They had a love and friendship that ran deep. Dahlin Joseph Ackerman, 72, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2023, in Rock Springs, Wyoming. He was a resident of Taylorsville, Utah for the past 53 years and former resident of Marysvale, Utah. He died following injuries he sustained in an auto accident. Mr. Ackerman was born June 18, 1951, in Richfield, Utah; the son of Marion Ackerman and Irene Barnson. He attended school in Junction, Utah and was a 1969 graduate of Piute High School.
