Teresa Bordinger Norgaard passed away peacefully at Granville Medical Center on Sunday, July 31st, from complications due to end stage COPD. Teri is survived by her husband Carl, her daughter Mary Jackson (Robert), son Nils Norgaard, grand-daughter Chelsea Parker, and two great-grandchildren Dayson and Alaina Parker. She was preceded in death by her Parents Paul Bordinger and Mary Bledsoe, her brother James Bledsoe, and her sister Barbara Jones. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date, and the family thanks her many friends and neighbors who have shown loving support during Teri's final struggles, and also the fine professional staff of the Granville Medical Center...

Judge Claude William Allen Jr. "Bill", 93, of Oxford passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at his home surrounded by family. Bill was born in Granville County on October 31, 1928 to the late Claude William Allen Sr. and Mary Norwood. Bill met the love of his life, Billie Smith, in Pilot Mountain on a hayride in 1949 and they later married in 1951. He graduated from Wilton High School, North Carolina State University with an Agriculture Degree and from the University of North Carolina Law School. Mrs. Hockaday was born in Franklin County to the late Albright & Josephine Horton Young on June 1, 1949. She was a long-time member of Brassfield Baptist Church and a member of the Brassfield Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Frances S. Peed, 92, of Creedmoor passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022 at her home. Frances was born in Alamance County on May 4, 1930 to the late Oscar Baynes Stanfield and Margaret Chambers. Frances and her family moved to Creedmoor when she was eleven years old. She played softball and basketball for Creedmoor High School before graduating in 1947. After graduation she worked for Central Carolina Bank and Trust for several years. Frances owned and operated The Early American Furniture Mart for more than twenty years before retiring. Gene was born in Granville County on March 25, 1940 to the late Wade Richard Rogers and Etha Whitfield Rogers. He grew up in Creedmoor and graduated from Creedmoor High School in 1958. Following graduation, he attended Louisburg College and was a member of the National Guard.
