Rev. Dr. Charles William Davenport, 69, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia. He was born on November 7, 1953, in Williamston, SC to the late Conrad and Helen Davenport. Dr. Davenport loved to read and was a history buff. He made a point to tell his children often that he was proud of them. He adored his grandchildren and they loved and adored their Papa. During his 45+ years in the ministry, Dr. Davenport officiated numerous baptisms, weddings, and funeral services. George Jackson Hunter, Jr., 76, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022. Born in Newnan, Georgia, he was the son of the late George Jackson Hunter, Sr. and Kathleen Brown Hunter. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Jacky received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Georgia and a Master's in Accounting from Clemson University. Born January 18, 1941 in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Hiram "Newton" Jordan, Jr. and Cordelia "Dee" Phillips Jordan. Mrs. Hutto grew up in Pelzer, SC and worked at B.C.
