Larry LaMar Johnson, 85, of Rigby, Idaho passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center with family at his side. He was born September 18, 1936 in Lorenzo, ID, the son of Amelia Weber Johnson and Lamar Johnson. Larry grew up in the Lorenzo, ID area. He was the son of a farmer and often told of the many shenanigans he and his cousins got into while working on the farm. He met and courted Phyllis LuDean Merrill in Rigby, ID where they attended high school together. Phyllis was a sensible young woman but couldn't resist the mischievous twinkle in Larry's eye. Ruth Gohr Barney, 96 of Grant passed away suddenly Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Ruth was born June 13, 1926 in Idaho Falls to Herman David Paul Gohr Sr. and Nellie Mae Meyer. She was one of the first 100 babies born in the Idaho Falls LDS Hospital. Ruth attended school in St. Leon in Bonneville County. She married Gene M. Barney November 25, 1944 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. After Gene died in 1970, Ruth focused on her children and worked hard to provide for them. Ruth was later sealed to Gene in the Idaho Falls LDS temple. He received excellent and tender care from Homestead Senior Living and Brio Hospice. A lifelong Idahoan, Glade was born March 17, 1948, the fourth of eight children to Mark and Norma Peterson of Plano. Doyle DeVon Hammon, 87, of Salmon and Rigby, Idaho, passed away July 24, 2022 in Rexburg, Idaho. Doyle was born August 23, 1934 in Rexburg, Idaho and was adopted by George Heber Hammon and Ora Ozetta Clark. He was an only child and grew up in Idaho Falls where he went to four different elementary schools, graduating from Idaho Falls High School in 1952.
