Gerald "Jerry" Dale Lindeman, age 88, of Manhattan, Kansas, died Tuesday May 3, 2022 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan. He was born on February 24, 1934 in Satanta, Kansas, the son of Walter and Helen (Jacobs) Lindeman. Jerry attended schools in Sublette and graduated from Sublette High School with the class of 1952. He then attended Kansas State University and earned his Bachelors Degree in Business. After college Jerry entered the U.S. Army. He served during the Korean Conflict from 1956-1958. Doyle Rayvon Smith, age 76, passed away on November 24, 2021. He was born to the late Clarence Oliver Smith and Fern Hazel Dirks on November 10, 1945, in Great Bend, Kansas. He grew up working on the family farm in western Kansas and attended Bethel College for two years, where he met his wife, Janice. After transferring to Kansas State University, he earned his Agricultural Engineering degree in 1970. The family lived in several locations throughout Doyle's career. In the early 1970s, he worked at the Krause Milling soybean manufacturing facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Curtis Wayne Rush of Rome, Ga passed away in his home with his family at his side on May 24, 2021. He was born on July 27, 1940, as the third son of Paris Newlin and Dorothy Mae Rush and named after his grandfather, all who predeceased him. Wendy Ann Cox, 52, Topeka, Kansas, lost a courageous four-year battle with ovarian cancer on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at Midland Care Hospice House in Topeka.
