Lois Ann Von Seggern, 94, of Hastings, MI died Thursday, April 21, 2022, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Lois was born April 24, 1927, in Oakland, Nebraska to Walter and Bertha (nee Schroeder) Von Essen, and baptized at St. Paul's Lutheran church near Hooper, Nebraska. She attended West Point High School. She graduated and earned a normal training certificate in teaching, and she was a teacher in a one room school for 4 years. On May 2, 1948, Lois married Myron Von Seggern at St. Paul's. They were successful farmers in Uehling, Nebraska for 10 years. Jeanette "Jan" Kay Jepson, 68 Jan Jepson of Frostproof, Florida passed away on January 25, 2022. She was born on July 6, 1953, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to the late Norman and Gladys Nickerson. She loved to entertain as a professional clown, and taught children not to be afraid of clowns. Jan was a lifetime member of The Women's Auxiliary of the V.F.W and was in charge of organizing her class reunions. Jan is preceded in death by her son Francis Arthur Wilcox. Mr. Robert Brett Butler, of Fenton, MI, entered into rest on Friday, April 9, 2021, two days' shy of his 59th birthday. A lifelong resident of Fenton, MI, he relocated to Aiken County, SC in January of 2021. He was employed by Holland Heating & Cooling. Brett was a true example of living a "Lake Life". Anything that had to do with the lake from barefoot waterskiing to building model boats. Terry passed away the morning of February 23rd, 2021 in Naples, Florida. Terry was born on July 14th, 1952 and grew up in Holly, Michigan. She graduated from Holly High School in 1970. She attended Central Michigan University where she met the love of her life, Art Ross. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed being a long time member of both the Mt Pleasant Country Club and Cedar Hammock Golf and Country Club. Chuck was born in Sturgis, Michigan on June 26, 1949 to Robert and Alphonsa Bobay. After completion of high school, Chuck attended and received a degree from Central Michigan University. He later continued his education and received two masters degrees from the University of Michigan in education and urban planning.
