Betty Jean Griffin 87, of Seymour, Indiana passed away on August 11, 2022, at her home. Betty was born in Reddington, Indiana on August 30, 1934, to the late Elmer and Anna (Akins) Ritz Dean. On August 30, 1952, in Seymour, she married Frank W. "Bud" Griffin, who preceded her in death November 25, 1998. Betty was a member of First United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed doing word search, watching the Big Bang Theory and British comedies, and her cats. Most of all she loved taking care of family and friends. She was previously employed with Blazer's and Ben Franklin for several years. Mary loved her family, and she enjoyed watching her boys and her grandchildren play sports. Tom Weaver, 65, of Seymour, Indiana, died on August 7, 2022, after being treated for a glioblastoma brain tumor for almost two years. He was born on February 13, 1957. Tom married Sherry (Roberts) on July 11, 1981, and she survives. They were blessed with one daughter, Lindsey Weaver, who also survives and currently resides in Columbus, Indiana. Born September 16, 1925 in Sulfur, OK, Dewey lived a life of service, from serving his indigenous heritage as a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma to serving his country in WW II to always being present with his family, such as never missing an event of his grandchildren. He was the last son born to Douglas L. and Mildred (Daily) Acton, and the youngest brother to Douglas C. and Phillip.
