Mary West Blanchard, 79, of Brenham, passed away on May 1, 2021. Graveside services will be at Oaklawn Cemetery in Somerville, Texas at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 8, 2021. Viewing will be at Memorial Oaks Chapel, from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm Noon prior to the graveside. Mary Ann West was born on July 21, 1941, to parents George Dewey West and Ottie Marie (Ferguson) West. Helen Elizabeth Scott Myers entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, in Seguin, Texas, at the age of 96. She was born on July 9, 1924, in Raymondville, Texas, to Ralph Edward and Emma Jane Thompson Scott. She graduated from Raymondville High School in 1941 and attended Texas A&I College as a music major. She was a resident of Stockdale for 70 years. On April 8, 1944, Helen was married to Joe Allen Myers in Hays, Kansas. Together, they purchased Salmon Funeral Home in Stockdale in May of 1951, which became Myers Funeral Home. Jesus J. Ramirez, 79, entered eternal rest Sunday, November 1, 2020. Born in Pharr, Mr. Ramirez had lived in San Juan for over 50 years and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish. Mr. Ramirez devoted 35 years to teaching and coaching at PSJA ISD. After he retired, Jesus dedicated his time to his loving wife and supporting his grandkids at their sporting events and other community activities. Eloise Gutierrez Cantu, a beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt passed from this life on April 9, 2020. She was born in San Antonio, Texas to Alfredo Gutierrez and Victoria Medrano Gutierrez on September 3, 1932 and lived most of her life in the Rio Grande Valley, in Raymondville and Edinburg, only recently residing in Dallas. She worked as an assistant for many years at the Hidalgo County office of the Texas A & M Extension Service. She had a servant's heart and a passion for improving the lives of the underprivileged in her community. Ronald "Ronnie" Wayne Fletcher passed from this life at home on February 9,2020 and is now in the arms of the Lord forever. He was born on May 8, 1937 at the old home place in Sebastian, Texas to Kermit J. and Hope Aycock Fletcher. He attended elementary school in Sebastian and graduated from Lyford High School in 1955. Ronnie then went on to further his education at Texas A & I University and earned his degree there. Ronnie's entire career was in the insurance industry. Mrs. Alice (Clapp) Buckley of Mineola went to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 27, 2019 in Willow Park, Texas at the age of 87. Alice was born on October 5, 1931 in Blessing, Texas to the late Harvey Clapp and Josephine (Nadoch) Clapp. After graduating from Louise High School as Salutatorian, she attended nursing school becoming an LVN. Alice married Cassel Buckley on June 4, 1951 and was a proud farmer's wife for 45 years most of which was spent in the Lower Rio Grande Valley.
