Daniel L. Scherry, 94, of Wakeman passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 30th, 2022, in Lorain, Ohio. He was born on February 10, 1928, to the late Charles and Beatrice (nee Cecil) Scherry. Daniel was a veteran of the United States Army who proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict. From there he went on to work and then retire from BF Goodrich. While there he received many awards for his contribution of multiple innovative ideas. He worked tirelessly and was a supportive teacher and great role model for his children. Richard Swiers, 92, journeyed to his new destination with ease on July 12, 2022 with family at his side. Richard was born December 19, 1929 in Elyria, Ohio to George H. and Claire C. Swiers. He was a 1947 graduate of Elyria High School and a 1951 graduate of Case Institute of Technology (now Case Western Reserve) with a BS degree in metallurgical engineering. Harry Niel Poling, a proud veteran of the Navy, passed away on November 25th 2021 of complications following surgery. The son of Rubert and Lera Powers Poling, Harry grew up in Belington, West Virginia. He was born on August 17th, 1928. At the age of 17, Harry enlisted in the Navy near the end of World War II. Robert Wilford "Bob" Boylan fell asleep in the Lord on July 4, 2020. Loving his country as he did, his family thinks he would have liked knowing that he passed away on Independence Day.
