Jeanne C. Bartlett, age 72, of Rochester, MN passed away February 28, 2022 in Rochester, MN. Jean was born on August 9, 1949 in Crookston, MN to Fred and Mary (Logan) Turk. She attended and graduated from Aurora High School where she excelled in swimming, earning a scholarship for her athletics. She attended Hibbing Community College and got her degree in Forestry. Jean was united in marriage to Tom Bartlett and together they had four children. Jeffory Gene Gauwitz, 65, of Hibbing, MN, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Riverwood Health Care Center, Aitkin. Jeff was born in Peoria, Illinois, on August 9, 1956, to Gene and Caroline (Binder) Gauwitz. With his father in the US Army, Jeff and his family spent early years living anywhere from Fort Bragg to Okinawa. Jeff, along with his Grandpa Gauwitz, dad, two brothers and his nephew, was an Eagle Scout. Charlene Malenfant Bergerson passed away on Wednesday, December 15 at age 78. After facing the challenges of Multiple Sclerosis for nearly 20 years with courage and determination, she is now at peace. Born in St. Louis County, Minnesota on April 7, 1939, he was the son of the late Gilbert Rudolph Edmark and Jean Nelson Edmark. Martha L. Peterson, 87, passed away peacefully at her Grand Junction home. She was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on February 22, 1933, to Charles and Amy Perry. She spent her childhood and graduated from High School in St. Paul. Martha met Charles E. Peterson on a blind date and they went to see the movie "Ma and Pa Kettle at the Farm", they strangely had two flat tires during their date. Deloris M. Lott, 85, of Byron passed away on Monday, January 6, 2020 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. Deloris was born on December 23, 1934 to Arthur and Mildred (Pribonich) Backlund in Keewatin, MN where she grew up and attended school. In 1952 Deloris married Roland Lott, also from Keewatin. They moved to Babbitt in 1955 where she was a homemaker and they happily raised their four children; Debbie, Terrie, Roland and Randy there. In 1992 they made their home in Hibbing until moving to Byron in 2008 to be closer to family. Deloris was an active walker for many years, walking five miles per day.
