Laveice Huddleston, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 in Odessa, TX. She was born on January 5, 1940 in Hollis, OK to John Allison and Velma Lorene (Sanford) Myers. Laveice married Harlan J. C. Huddleston on December 21, 1972 in Meadow, TX and they shared 35 wonderful years together until his passing in 2007. Laveice was a member of the Jal Church of Christ. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, knitting, and sewing. Laveice was an excellent cook who was known for her candies and desserts. She was called "Aunt Beice" by her nieces and nephews. James "Jim" L. Tucker James "Jim" L. Tucker, age 79, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022 in El Paso, TX. He was born on February 24, 1943 in Okmulgee, OK to Leo and Charlene (Brown) Tucker. Jim married Mattie Kirby on October 31, 1970 in Tijuana, MX and they shared 46 wonderful years together until her passing in 2016. Jim was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jal. He worked with law enforcement for 38 years, was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a lifetime member of the American Legion. Jim was also a volunteer fireman. Tab, age 64, has gone to be with our Creator on September 17, 2022. Tab graduated from Hobbs High in 1976 and enlisted in the Army serving from 1976-1980. Upon return, worked in Hobbs area for many years. He is survived by his wife, Betty, of the home, Son, Joshua and wife Katarina; grandson, Maverick Osborn; Daughter, Desiree & partner Alejandro Blanco of Lubbock, Texas. Tim was a two-time basketball state champion as he played for his father and legendary coach, Ralph Tasker.
