Houston-Fred Wilson Thompson, 94, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Care Center of Aberdeen. He was born December 3, 1927 in Chickasaw County to the late Robert Lee Thompson and Ellye Coila Wilson Thompson. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Houston. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Houston with Bro. Kenny Adams officiating. Burial will be at Chickasaw Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Houston. Susan Virginia West O'Quinn, 71, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. A Lee County native and lifelong resident, Susan was born October 29, 1950 to Herman and Frances West. She worked in Ripley at Timber Hills as a medical transcriptionist for several years. Susan adored animals, especially her cats. She also enjoyed sewing, working in her yard, and camping. Myra Diane Murrell Wheeler, 68, departed this life for her eternity with Jesus from her room at Diversicare Nursing Center in Ripley. Diane was born in Itawamba County on August 4, 1954. Her adoptive dad was George William Murrell and her mother was Dorothy Mae Manley Schumpert. She grew up in Itawamba Co. and was educated there. Diane worked for H. M. Richards many years. She was a longtime member of the Tupelo Church of God. She loved traveling, music of all genres but especially southern gospel music. Kristy Ann Neal, 36, met her Creator from her home in Nettleton after a long struggle with Brain Cancer. Kristy was born in Amory on March 12, 1986 to Michale "Mickey" Neal and Janice Wright Neal. She grew up in the Nettleton area and lived there all her life. Kristy first worked as a server at the Country Squire in Tupelo before spending 17 years working for Subway in Nettleton. At her death, she was store manager. Kristy was a "mother hen" always taking care of her immediate family as well as her nieces and nephews.
