Joyce Klingberg, age 76, of Cross Plains, died Friday, January 29, 2021 in Fort Worth. Joyce was born November 26, 1944 in Quinlan, Texas to Claude Grant and Opal Mae Brown Grant. She grew up in Quinlan where she attended school. Joyce then attended cosmetology school and Eastfield College in Mesquite. She married Roger Rune Klingberg on April 17, 1975 in Rockwall. Joyce had many roles in her work career. She was a beautician and owned Joyce's Hair Design in Cross Plains. She also worked at Citizens State Bank in Cross Plains and then went to work with her husband in the oil field business. Joyce could drive a winch truck better than anyone. She loved life and loved her family even more....

Mary Catherine Maurer Hobin, age 91 joined her beloved husband, William Frank Hobin Sr., in heaven on October 4, 2020. Interment was in Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas. She was born in Greensboro, N.C. on August 10, 1929 to Arthur and Esther Maurer. As a graduate of St. Joseph Academy, Mary was a professional in the women's workforce at various businesses in Downtown Dallas. Mary met her best friend, Bill at a Catholic Singles Dance in Pleasant Grove. They were married at St. Joseph's Church in 1950 and moved to Dallas. She was a long time fixture of the Dallas Catholic School systems including food service manager of Bishop Lynch and St. Pius X, as well as a member of St. Pius X Rosary...
