Katherine "Sissy" Brooks, 86 of Lady Lake, Florida went home to be with her savior, Sunday, June 26, 2022. She was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas on March 14, 1936, the daughter of the late Clarence "Brookie" Brookshier Sr. and Mildred Metcalf Brookshier. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years James Wilford Brooks, a daughter Jamie Wraye Brooks, and a brother Clarence "Renny" Brookshier Jr. She was a Rubatex employee for 36 years and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was born April 8, 1943 in Houston, Texas then lived around the world as a child of the US Air Force and as Officer in the Army. He lived the last 38 years in Peachtree City, Georgia. Drafted in 1965, he decided to make a career out of the Army, so he attended Officer Candidate School in Ft Benning, Georgia.
