TOMAHAWK, Wis.- Elaine Marie Guthrie, age 74, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021, at Sebring Assisted Living Facility. She was born on Aug. 25, 1947, in Spokane, Wash., the daughter of Vernon and Viola Peterson. Elaine married Gregory Guthrie on Sept. 16, 1967, in Columbus, Mont. She graduated from Montana State University in 1969 with a B.S. in Elementary Education and taught 4th grade in Deer Lodge, Mont. After a series of moves from Montana to Wisconsin, including a stay in New Zealand, Elaine pursued needlepoint, wood working, painting, photography and beading. Donald W. Hageman, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, 73, of Vonore, TN, passed away June 25, 2021. Don served in the U.S. Navy from 1970 to 1994. He retired from the Navy and worked for the federal government as a contractor, then as a civilian employee of the U.S. Army at the Pentagon. He enjoyed officiating for flag football, basketball, and softball games. Don served the community as treasurer for the Friends of the Vonore Library, and treasurer of the USS Sterett Association. In the early morning hours of November 19, 2020 our family lost, but heaven gained, a bright and shining North Star. Morris Robert Van Campen was born in Columbus, Montana on January 2, 1939. His proud parents were Alice (Guthrie) and Marion Van Campen. He joined his older brother James, and the family was surrounded by a loving number of grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and life-long friends, each nurturing the others through good times and bad. The young family lived in Reed Point, Montana and ranched out on Countryman Creek, where the young boys, along with numerous cousins and friends, enjoyed roaming the surrounding hills and valleys along the beautiful Yellowstone River.
