James D. Schlick, of Bloomington, IN drew his last breath on Saturday, April 23, 2022 and embarked on his final journey. Jim was born March 24, 1948 in Charles City, IA to loving parents Donald and Velma (Heitz) Schlick and grew up on the family farm, helping to raise hogs, cattle, chickens, one dog, a herd of cats, and his sometimes pesky younger brother, Paul. Farm life taught him the values of hard work and pitching in to help others, traits he exhibited throughout his life. Loretta Fern Zimbelman of Plano, Texas passed away peacefully on November 5, 2021 with her daughter Lori and her granddaughter Katie by her side. The eldest of seven, Loretta was born on September 10, 1940 to Fern (Havens) and Harold Halsted in Marshalltown, Iowa. She attended Montour Public School where she graduated in 1958 and then attended business school in Omaha, Neb. Loretta lived and worked in Marshalltown, Iowa where she met and married Robert Zimbelman in 1966. They had two children together, Hannalori and Robert. In 1978 the family moved to Parker, Texas.
