Mildred Smith Harness "Punkin", age 78 of Nicholasville, formerly of Crab Orchard, passed away on August, 05, 2022, with her family by her side. Born in Stanford, Kentucky on February 24, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Vedena & Harmon Smith of Preachersville. Mildred is the widow of James F. Harness and the loving mother of Michael (Melinda) Harness, Kriste (Mike) Blumetti, and Kathy (Brent) Tussey all of Nicholasville; Two young men who she raised as her own Jacob (Dana) Edwards of Nicholasville and Josh Edwards, of Los Angeles, CA. Frances Estella Young, 99, of Stanford, KY passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, KY. A native of Paint Lick in Garrard County, she was born on January 2, 1923 to the late Willie Green Bryant and Lee Anna Bryant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Clyde Young, as well as four brothers. Frances was a homemaker and a long-term member of Stanford Baptist Church. Nancy Ellen Leedy, 62, of Stanford, KY passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, KY. Born on February 12, 1960 in Carlisle, KY to "Coach" Bill Ed Leedy and the late Geraldine "Jerry" Hoskins Leedy. Nancy graduated from Lincoln County High School in 1978 and later graduated with a Bachelors Degree from EKU. Nancy was dedicated to her career and passionate about her community with 32 years of service as photographer, sportswriter and editor for the Interior Journal Newspaper from 1988-2020.
