Julia Ann (Knarr) Binkley, 98, of Winamac, IN passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022 at her residence in Winamac. She was born at home on July 24, 1924 in Thornhope, IN to John and Dessie (Nice) Knarr. Julia graduated from Pulaski High School in 1942, 80 years ago. She and John Binkley met on a blind date at Indiana University and married on December 26, 1945 while he was in the Navy and she was finishing college. Julia graduated from Indiana University in 1946 with a BS degree in Business. Julia and John moved back to her parent's farm where John farmed with his father-in-law. Berniece L. Trapp, 101, of Lafayette (formerly of Winamac) went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 16, 2022. She passed away at Creasy Springs Health Campus in Lafayette where she had resided since 2016. Berniece was born on April 29, 1921 in Winamac to the late Orville M. and Mary [Nierzwicki] Smith. She attended a one-room schoolhouse in Ripley and graduated from Monterey High School. After high school, Berniece lived with and worked for the Capper family on their farm in Star City. Virginia M. "Ginny" Barr, 91, of Winamac went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Waterford Place Health Campus in Kokomo. She was born on April 13, 1931 in Chicago to the late Arthur and Alice [Friedland] Olson. A few years later, the Olson family moved to a farm in Jefferson Township in rural Pulaski County. She graduated from Logansport High School in 1959 and went on to earn both Bachelor's and Master's degrees. A long-time resident of Columbus, she taught at Cross Cliff Elementary School for many years until her retirement. Marcia had a particular gift for friendship and leaves many friends who mourn her. David Wayne Caldwell of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away on Sunday, October 31st at the age of 65.
