Robert "Bobby" Stanfield Armstrong, Jr., 63, of 104 Concord Street, Ninety Six, wife of Toni Armstrong, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022 at his home. Born in Houston, TX, he was a son of the late Robert Stanfield Armstrong, Sr. and Barbara June Henry Armstrong. He retired from Neptune after over 30 years. Bobby enjoyed fishing, his dogs, listening to music and being around his family and friends. He attended St. Paul United Methodist Church in Ninety Six. On June 12, 2022, Ronald (Ron) Lester Platt died with his family at his side at a Mount Pleasant, SC hospital after a prolonged illness. He was a resident of Leesburg, VA Platt, 80, was born and raised in Ada, Oklahoma, the only child of Lester "Hook" Platt, who owned a service station, and Maggie, a bookkeeper. The first in his family to attend college, Platt graduated magna cum laude from the University of Oklahoma in 1962 with a Bachelor's degree in political science. Captivated by John F. David H. Surgnier, age 73, of Joliet, IL passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Amita Health Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago. He was born in Oklahoma on February 8, 1949 to "Red" and Florida Belle (Hair) Surgnier. David worked for many years as a Petroleum Lead Engineer and Environmental Engineer. Gary M. Aday, 74 of Elkhorn, WI, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 3, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. Born July 31, 1946 in Ada, OK to parents Alfred and Ida (Ferguson) Aday, Gary served as a draftsman in the United States Navy. He married Janet King on November 9, 1968. In 1974, Gary founded Aday Custom Cabinetry. He moved his business to Elkhorn in 1991, where it is still operated by his son Chris and family. Gary is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Janet, and their two sons, Michael (Tina) Aday and family of California and Chris (Meghan) Aday and family of Elkhorn, WI. He was born December 15, 1937, to William Jasper Keithley and Rachel Irene (Taylor) Keithley in Ada, Oklahoma.Paul enlisted in the United States National Guard in 1955 and proudly served his country for eight years while attending East Central State University in Ada.After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education, Paul began his teaching career in Henderson, Nevada. Sally was a 1963 graduate of Ada (Oklahoma) High School, and a 1967 graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Radio and TV Broadcasting.
