Elizabeth "Liz" A. Gudeman, 72 of Elkhorn, WI died Sunday April 17, 2022 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center. She was born May 1, 1949 in Monmouth, IL the daughter of the late Lewis E. and Mary G. (Barry) Ishmael. She was united in marriage to Herman H. Gudeman on September 15, 1973 in Quincy, IL. For over 17 years Liz worked as receptionist for Holton Manor Nursing Home Elkhorn, WI. She was a devote member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Elkhorn, WI involved with the bible study and the book club. She enjoyed scrapbooking. Roy Hudson Carwile passed away on September 24, 2021, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA, after waging a ferocious and heroic battle against cancer. Roy was born on January 16, 1946 in Monmouth, IL, the son of Ralph Hudson Carwile and Ruth (Hamilton) Carwile. He grew up working with his father and uncle at the Carwile Paint Store on the square in Monmouth. Born on May 4, 1951 in Monmouth, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late George and Betty (Meehan) Whitehall. On October 3, 1970 she married the love of her life David L. Martin and he survives. After graduating from Monmouth High School in 1969, Joyce and Dave spent two years in Germany while Dave served in Armed Forces.
