James Andrew "Jim" Whisenant, II entered peacefully into heaven on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at the age of 72. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Winnifred Evelyn Carpenter, and father James Andrew Whisenant and his sister Vanita D. Salazar. He is survived by his niece Crystal Nicole Salazar and his many cousins who loved him. Jim was born in Rio Hondo, Texas on October 3, 1949. He attended school there and graduated from Rio Hondo High School. He worked for the city of Rio Hondo and on the family farm for many years. Her parents were Joe Sidney Walker and Mary Frances Engbloom Walker of Austin, Texas. Kathy and David Bruce of Orange, Texas were married for 53 years and raised two daughters, Shelley and Robin.
