Scarlett Beard Lucas, 74, of Ashburn, Virginia, passed away on October 8, 2021. Scarlett was born in Lynchburg, Virginia, to Herbert Glenn Beard and Olive Abbott Beard on October 19, 1946. Following graduation from E.C. Glass High School, she attended Radford College (now known as Radford University). While at Radford, she met the love of her life, Robert ("Bob") Cormell Lucas, a student at Virginia Polytechnic Institute. Scarlett and Bob married on December 29, 1967. Born in Lynchburg, VA to the late Robert "Bill" Beverly and Beulah (Winebarger) Goolsby, Kent graduated from Boonsboro High School in Boonsboro, VA and went on to Virginia Polytechnic Institute and Virginia State University obtaining a degree in Architecture and a master's degree in Urban Planning. She is survived by her two children, Emily Weiss Thompkins and John Kelly Thompkins of Conway. She was their best friend; they were her pride and joy. John Wade Tesh, age 94, passed away peacefully at his home in Harrisonburg, Virginia on November 28, 2020. Wade was born to Charles and Lena Tesh in Greensboro, North Carolina, the youngest of seven children. At age two Wade's mother died. Winifred (Win) Clement, age 93, passed away on November 18, 2020 in Marietta, Georgia. She was born on November, 25, 1926 in London, England to Bertie and Hannah Standring.
