Carolyn was born on July 14, 1945 to the late Carroll E. Harris and Dorothy Gardner Harris both from Charlottesville, VA. After Carolyn graduated from Lane High School in 1963 she was later crowned as Miss Albemarle County and Miss Dogwood of Charlottesville, VA in 1965. The Thomas family celebrates the joy-filled life of Barbara Jean Lowry Thomas who passed away July 10, 2022, in Harrisonburg, VA, age 85. Barbara was born in Washington DC, and spent her early years in Austin, MN, Horseshoe Bend, VA, and Chilhowie, VA. Given the option many evenings during her childhood, Barbara chose practicing piano over drying the dinner dishes. Her resulting proficiency in piano performance was a lifelong talent she nurtured, and a gift she shared with many. Barbara Ann Jenkins, 63 passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. She is survived by her husband Richard N. Jenkins; her mother Florence Lamb of Madison, VA; her two daughters, Angela L. Miller and husband Christopher of Fayetteville and Nicole D. Chamberlain and husband Jared of Roanoke, VA; her son Joseph N. Sharon Nalle went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 18, 2021, 3-1/2 months after her 92nd birthday. Her health failed shortly after a fall in which she broke her hip. She was in and out of hospitals for her last three months, but was blessed to draw her last breaths at home attended by her daughter and granddaughter.
