David Roy Martella, 82, of Salinas, CA passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 2 at his home in Woodsville, NH. David was born February 2, 1939, to Roy B and Winona (Hickey) Martella. He grew up farming in Salinas and was an All-State football player at Salinas Union High School before attending Utah State on scholarship. Following an injury his freshman year, he returned to the farm in Salinas and began a family. After several years, he started back in college at Cal Poly Technical Institute in San Luis Obispo then transferred to the University of Arizona. Doris Rocchi Fanoe, age 66, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on January 28, 2020 surrounded by her loving family, following a short battle with AML. She was born in Gilroy, California to Lawrence & Rose Rocchi. Doris went to St. Mary's Grade School in Gilroy and high school at Notre Dame in Salinas where she met her husband of 43 years, Matt Fanoe. She graduated from California Poly Tech in San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development. She married Matt in 1976.
