Willie B. Jacobs, 74, answered His Savior's calling on May 11, 2022, surrounded by his wife, Gloria Jacobs, of almost 50 years and four children. Willie is survived by his mother, Lucile Walker; his wife, Gloria (Howell) Jacobs; half-sister, Catha Milliard; his children: Robin (Alberto) Abbott, Karla (Wendell) Charles, Kandice (Quentin) Robinson and Brandon (Stephanie) Jacobs; his four grandchildren; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and the many lives he touched as "Dean Jacobs," as Dean of Boys, during his tenure at Gainesville Highschool. Eugene (Gene) O'Steen went to his Heavenly home on April 18, 2022. He was born in Gainesville Florida and grew up in High Springs, Florida. Gene went to the University of Florida on a football scholarship and was a proud fighting Gator until he was injured. He is survived by loving and supportive wife, Jillian Hartman O'Steen. Len Dinkler, 96, passed away peacefully on Feb 15th. Born in Mabscott, WV and raised in Beckley, WV, he served as an Aviation Machinist Mate from 1943 - 1946 in the Navy Air Corps during World War II, and later earned a Mechanical Engineering degree at Duke University through the V22 program. While at Duke University, Len sang in the glee club and choir and began a lifelong love of sacred music and the great pipe organs and carillons of the U.S. A talented engineer, Len held engineering positions with Western Electric, Vick Chemical, Sperry Microwave and Technical Enterprises Inc., before joining the General Electric Apollo Support Team at Cape Canaveral. Jane A. Edmonds, 87, of Atlantic Beach, FL passed away peacefully in the presence of her family January 4, 2022. Jane was the first baby born January 1, 1935, in Atlanta, GA to John and Christine (Holliman) Adams. Leaving home at 16, Jane was educated at Georgia State College for Women (BS PE, '55). She then followed her heart - and as she loved to joke, "the great pay check" - to Jacksonville's Andrew Jackson HS. Jane was a teacher of high regard at every level from elementary school through college, and across numerous states. Never one bound by barriers, Jane was in the earliest group of women to earn her Master's degree in Physical Education from the University of Florida (1958). This...
