Mrs. Jane "Janie" Adams Pegram, age 83, of Asheboro passed away Monday, July 5, 2021 at her home. Mrs. Pegram was born October 5, 1937 in Wilkes County to James Quincy and Eddie Billings Adams. Mrs. Adams retired from Black and Decker in Asheboro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Sue Vanhoy; son, Randall Lawrence Vanhoy; brothers, Billy Adams, Joe Adams, Dickie Adams, Jack Adams; sisters, Betty King and Ruth Wright. Survivors include: grandson, Ryan Vanhoy; great-grandson, Hudson Vanhoy; sister, Sue Edwards; and many wonderful nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Mrs. Joan Ellen Hoyt, age 66, returned to her Heavenly Father's arms on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center surrounded by her family she loved so much. She was born June 15, 1954 in Lebanon, New Hampshire to Raymond and Wilma Jones Stender. Joan's family meant everything to her. There was nothing she wouldn't do for them. She was the glue that kept them together. Joan was as giving in death as she was in life. Today someone else is able to see the beautiful colors and scenery around them through the gift of her cornea donation.
