Susan V. Goode, 71, of Punta Gorda, Florida died Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at home. She was born November 3, 1952, in Houston, Texas to the late Vern Keith Venator and Sue (Griffin) Venator. Susan and her husband Pat moved to Punta Gorda 20 years ago from Warner Robbins, Georgia. She was a retired special needs elementary school teacher. Lucy H. Schmidt, 101, Lake Suzy, Florida passed away at her home on September 22, 2024. She was born on November 13, 1922, in Akron, Ohio, to Flavian and Olga Hermann. She and her family moved to Orlando, Florida, where she met her husband Harold at the Pine Castle Air Force Base (now Orlando International Airport). She and Harold moved to Lake Suzy in 1982 from Hialeah, Florida. Lucy enjoyed embroidery, card playing, and puzzles with her friends, and always looked forward to visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Linda was born at US Naval Base, Guam to Lawrence P. and Tida Overway on March 18, 1974. Linda moved to Austin, TX with her family at a young age. Tamara Whisenant, 74, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024. Tamara was born on March 24, 1950, in Syracuse, N.Y. She moved to Port Charlotte in 1978. She was a wife (43 years), a mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to everyone who met her. She loved the Rolling Stones and going to blues festivals. Tamara also loved the beach and was never more beautiful than when the wind blew her hair away to show her beautiful face. She was Mother Nature personified.
