It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of William Barlass Lorick Sr. aka "Chilly Brew" on October 23, 2023. William was born in 1947 in Augusta, GA. Growing up in Augusta, he attended Richmond Academy High School. He continued his education at Newberry college in South Carolina where he was a charter member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity. After college, he began his successful 50 year real estate career in Augusta, GA and continued on to Sea Pines, Hilton Head SC, and then the Amelia Island Plantation in Florida. His life was filled with his love for others. He was instrumental in the growth of the Lutheran Prince of Peace church on Amelia Island and was one of the founding...

Entered into rest on Friday, October 20, 2023, John Adams Craig, 91, loving husband to the late Joan Craig. John was born in Brookline, Massachusetts in 1932 to David and Annie Craig. He served in the United States Air Force for twenty-one years and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. Family members include his sons: John Craig, Jr., David Craig, and Edward "Ted" Craig; six grandchildren; and his sister: Dorothy Craig Kochli. He is preceded in death by his wife and his parents.

On Friday October 13, 2023, following an extraordinarily courageous six-year battle with cancer, Cathy Gibson finished her last race as an incomparable winner. Cathy, a resident of Travelers Rest, SC for the past 18 years, passed away exhibiting the same kind of strength and resolute commitment which she displayed in the half marathons she loved to run. Cathy was born December 16, 1956, to Barney and Bonnie Hamrick Peeler in Forest City, NC, and was the youngest of three sisters, including Evelyn Peeler Biddy and Betty Ann Peeler.
