Richard Leroy Lambdin, age 86, of Bryans Road, MD, passed away at his daughter's home in Smoke Hole, WV, on Monday, May 16, 2022. He was born on January 23, 1936, the son of the late Charles Adam Hurdle and Dorothy Olivia (Hurley) Hurdle. On October 13, 1956, he married Alice Jean (Mills) Lambdin, who survives in Bryans Road, MD. Mr. Lambdin was a graduate of Lackey High School in Indian Head, MD and a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Safeway Foods and was a member of United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local #400. Ralph Hartman Simmons, age 99, of Penn Laird, VA, formerly of Brandywine, WV, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Willow Estates Retirement Community in Penn Laird. He was born on September 12, 1921, in Upper Tract, WV, the son of the late William Edgar and Dessie Howard (Hartman) Simmons. June Elizabeth (Pearson) Patterson, age 88, of Frederick, MD, formerly of Cabins, WV, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020 at the Citizens Care & Rehab Center in Frederick, MD. She was born on October 26, 1931 in Richmond, VA, the daughter of the late Clarence and Beatrice (Southard) Pearson. On April 13, 1961 she married her husband of 48 years, William B. "Pat" Patterson, who preceded her death on April 22, 2009. Together they raised their six children in Rockville, MD., and moved to Roseland, Virginia in 1969 where they became foster parents to 13 children and later adopted three girls.
