Linda Jones Owens, age 82, passed away Friday, February 20, 2026 at her home. In accordance with her wishes no formal service will be held. Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Douglas Owens; her parents, Jesse and Ruby Jones; and sister, Patricia Gay. She is survived by her son, Garry Owens and wife, Lois of Fountain; grandson, Jack Owens; sisters, Ginger Vick of Farmville, Vangie Jones and Janet Willis both of Rocky Mount; brother, Jesse Jones of Rocky Mount; sister-in-law, Deborah Gay of Bailey; several nieces and nephews. Aileen Gardner Higgins, 95, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025. She was born September 29, 1929 to the late Linda and Clifton Gardner.
