Nola attended Brodhead High School and was a member of the 1953 graduating class. She continued her education at Vincennes University, where she received an associate degree in Bookkeeping. Nola married Donald W. Gordon in May 1960, and they were blessed with three children. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and loved to sing in the choir and play the piano for church. He was born on March 2, 1933, in Erie, PA, the son of Harry E. and June G. (Sternberg) Gillingham. He married Sue (Whitlock) Gillingham of Vincennes on Feb. 18, 1956, at Bainbridge, MD, and was by her side for 64 years until her death on July 21, 2020.
