It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Joyce Compton Harrington, who went to be with her Lord at the age of 97 on January 29, 2024, in Fairhope, Alabama. Born on December 9, 1926, in Putnam, Alabama, Joyce received a Bachelor of Science in Bacteriology from University of Alabama and remained an avid Crimson Tide fan. She lived in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she was schoolteacher, a Saints football fan, and a cherished member of First Baptist Church of New Orleans.
